We appreciate the trust which you have shown our company. We therefore handle the data which you entrust in us with a great deal of care and only use them for the purposes for which you have given your permission. By no means will we forward your personal data without your explicit approval to third parties.
It is possible that we make available statistics about our customers, our turnover, customer behavior and in this scope also website information to trustworthy third parties. We will however summarize this data to such an extent that individual persons no longer can be identified. The confidentiality of your data is thus strictly protected by both the Company and any agent appointed by us for this purpose.
Vaillant does not actively collect personal data about you if you visit the Vaillant website unless you make such information available to us voluntarily, e.g. via e-mail.
Non personal data
Non personal information and data, e.g. the exact time of your connection with our website and the type of browser used is collected fully automatically by the common working process of the internet services of Vaillant. We use this information in order to create statistics and to measure the activities on the website with the goal of increasing the use value of our offering for you.
In certain cases, Vaillant will ask you for personal information in order to offer you a service or be able to contact you. In the case that such information is stored, you will be informed about the intended use. In the case of an order, we must e.g. ask for your name, your company, your address, your telephone number and your e-mail address. This is the only way that we can process the order and inform you about the status of your order. If you participate in a competition or in another special action, we need your name, your address and your e-mail address in order to be able to inform you if needed.
Insofar as the data is processed by a service provider in the scope of central data processing, the improvement of our customer service or for technical reasons within the Vaillant group (that is the Vaillant GmbH and its subsidiaries), we will insure the protection of your data.
If you should decide to not provide us with the personal data which is asked for on some pages of the Vaillant website, your decision will not have any material consequences for you. It can however be the case that you then cannot receive specific information and goods through this website.
Your data is password protected on all systems in which they are stored. The persons who have access to this data are strictly prohibited from forwarding your data to third parties.
Web research panel
At Vaillant we’re always striving to give you the best products to keep your home warm and cosy.
But we can only do this by listening to you.
We’re not trying to sell you anything and you won’t be contacted from anyone at Vaillant regarding your survey answers unless you tell us you are happy for this to happen.
We occasionally work with other research partners to get a better understanding of customers or contact customers directly to ask for their feedback. If you are keen to give us your feedback and help shape the way we do things in other ways, our Web Panel may be of interest to you.
Web research panel terms and conditions
Purpose of the panel:
The web research panel will constitute a cross-section of Homeowner customers who have agreed on a voluntary basis to provide feedback on Vaillant.
Membership of the panel:
To qualify for the panel you must be resident in the UK and aged 18 or over. You can opt out at any time by emailing XXX
By agreeing to join the panel you agree that Vaillant can use the results of research exercises, including your ideas, to feed into the development and improvement of Vaillant’s products, service and communications. Any information you provide about yourself will be used for research purposes only, and not for sales or marketing. All responses to research will be confidential and non-attributable, and no individual responses will be identified in any of our communications without obtaining your consent. The panel will be operated in accordance with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.
How the panel works:
You may be invited to take part in a number of research exercises throughout the year, depending on the type of research that is taking place. You may not be invited to take part in every piece of research which is carried out. Participation is entirely voluntary and members can choose not to participate in any research project that they are invited to take part in.
Members will be invited to participate in research on an ad hoc basis. They will usually be contacted by email to invite them to participate in research, but you may also be contacted by post or telephone. You can choose to opt out of email, postal or telephone contact if you would prefer, though this may restrict participation. Members will be updated on the outcome of research and how this has been implemented through quarterly email newsletters or annual newsletters.
Your personal data:
Your personal data and any information you provide during research will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We may, on occasion, wish to pass your details onto selected third parties who have been commissioned to carry out research on our behalf. Personal data will be treated securely and in confidence at all times and will be used for research purposes only.
Rewards for participating:
Vaillant may at its sole discretion offer rewards for participation in research or entry into free prize draws. Terms and conditions for any incentives will be clearly outlined.
